"Miss Representation"

     The first thing that stood out to me from this documentary was the large percentage of all girls and women who have had some sort of eating disorder.  It stood out to me because I never realized so many people could be affected by such a serious thing.  Eating disorders are not talked about.  They should be, though, since they are so bad.  Eating disorders can cause so many health problems and the fact that so many women have them is scary.
     This brings me to my next point, which is about the media.  The media and what is show on all the different sources of entertainment show a body image that is unattainable to almost all women.  I mean the fact that the models themselves get photo shopped is insane.  The models, who are supposed to represent the body goals of society, do not even have these perfect bodies themselves.  Therefore, the fact that women are hurting themselves to look like these models is absolutely insane.
       As far as politics go, I am not really into it that much.  I understand them, but I do not really have strong views in one direction at this point in my life.  I do not like any of the main Republican and Democratic candidates.  I think this is because all of their views are so drastic in one direction.  Trump's clear racism and sexism towards people should be the first and only reason not to have him elected.  As for Clinton and Sanders, I do not believe they would run the country effectively either.  Sanders is too socialist and Clinton has changed her views on issues too many times to get my vote. 
     If Trump and Clinton win their parties, then former mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg has said he would run for president.  Being from New York might make me a little bias, but I have seen all the good things he has done for all people of New York City.  He has my vote if he runs.
